Andrew Elsby-Smith

Andrew joined Amtico, the international flooring manufacturer and distributor, headquartered in Coventry, in 2008 as Group Finance Director.

His career has largely been spent in international, premium-branded, product companies. Andrew’s formative years were spent at Michelin Tyre PLC where he qualified as an accountant. Following this, he moved to Waterford Wedgwood PLC spending 10 years as Finance Director of Wedgwood. Moving into the world of private equity, Andrew then became CFO of a Foodservice business ahead of joining Amtico International.

Having a strong interest in education, Andrew has a belief that one of the foundation stones of any successful society is a strong education system that gives an opportunity for all, drives economic growth, and helps create the culture of the future.

A lifelong resident of Staffordshire, Andrew has an MSc from the University of London (UCL), is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
