Stephen Mellert

Stephen Mellert has extensive work experience in the financial technology and securities finance industries. Stephen started their career in 1991 at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York as an Analyst. Stephen then worked at Citibank as a Vice President, where they supervised a team and managed trading activities. In 1999, they became the Managing Director at Capital Markets, Engineering & Trading, overseeing the funding and administration of broker/dealers. In 2000, Mellert joined Matrix Applications LLC as the Managing Director of Business Development, focusing on client relations and partnerships. In 2005, they co-founded South Street Securities LLC, where they currently serve as a Managing Director, responsible for technology strategy and implementation for the firm and its subsidiaries.

Stephen Mellert started their education journey in 1981 at Chaminade High School, where they completed their high school education. In 1985, they enrolled in Georgetown University McDonough School of Business and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with a focus on Finance in 1989. Following this, they pursued further education at NYU Stern School of Business and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance from 1990 to 1994.

Continuing their academic journey, Mellert returned to NYU Stern School of Business and received a second Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance, General from 1993 to 1997.

In addition to their educational qualifications, Mellert also holds certifications in the financial industry. Stephen has obtained the General Securities Representative and the Uniform Securities Agent State Law certifications from FINRA, although specific details regarding the year and month of obtaining these certifications are not available.
