Anthony M. Welch

Anthony M. Welch has extensive experience in athletic coaching and program development, with a focus on supporting student-athletes' educational pursuits. Currently serving as a Volunteer Assistant Coach at South Suburban College since September 2020, Anthony has also held the position of Executive Director at Serious Threat Athletic and Recruitment Development since 2012, promoting higher education for prospective college student-athletes and supporting HBCU athletic structures. Previous roles include Volunteer Assistant Men's Basketball Coach at City Colleges of Chicago-Kennedy-King College and Chicago State University, as well as High School Boy's Basketball Coach within Chicago Public Schools. Anthony's earlier career includes serving as Executive Director at CEDA from August 2007 to September 2012. Education was received at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
