Brian started in the IDD field in 1993, supervising a small team of group home staff in six homes exclusively for people with Autism in the San Antonio area prior to coming on board at STCLC in 1995. Working in a variety of capacities since then, including Residential Supervisor, QIDP, HCS Program Manager, and statewide Director. He has served the management team of STCLC, Texas HCS, and ICS for over twenty years , and currently serves as President of all three companies statewide. Brian received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Trinity University in 1990 and a MBA with healthcare management concentration from the University of Texas at Dallas’s School of Management in 2008.
With additional focus in the Houston area in the aftermath of Hurricane Rita, he has overseen that region’s growth from 6 initial evacuees to approximately 80 individuals and growing. Brian also currently serves on the Board of Directors of PACSTX (Provider Alliance for Community Services in Texas), a not-for-profit professional trade association serving the interests of all people with IDD and their provider agencies in Texas.
In that capacity, Brian also chairs PACSTX’s Education committee, which develops statewide training workshops that advance the skills and knowledge of professionals from multiple disciplines serving individuals with disabilities throughout Texas. Brian is also the co-owner and CEO of a small management consulting company assisting other organizations with operational oversight, business management, and oversight of Managed Care Organization billing and compliance.
