Nereyda Treviño Ed.D. has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Most recently, they served as the Chief Academic Officer at South Texas ISD since September 2020. Prior to that, they worked as an Assistant Principal at South Texas ISD World Scholars from October 2019 to September 2020. Nereyda also has experience in the education sector, having worked as a Secondary Mathematics Coordinator at Mission CISD from July 2017 to October 2019 and as an Instructional Math Coach at Mission High School from November 2013 to July 2017. Earlier in their career, Nereyda worked as an 8th Mathematics Teacher at Mission Junior High School from August 2008 to November 2013. Before entering the field of education, Nereyda served as an Operations Manager at SafeGuard Insurance Agency from February 2004 to July 2008.

Nereyda Treviño Ed.D. completed their Doctor of Education (EdD) degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, General at Texas Tech University from 2018 to 2022. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from The University of Texas-Pan American in 2006. In 2013, they pursued a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Curriculum Instruction in Mathematics at The University of Texas at Arlington, which they completed in 2014. In 2016-2017, they obtained Principal Certification from Region One (ILP3 Program). Additionally, they completed the Superintendent Program in Education at Texas Tech University from 2019 to 2020.
