Brian Purdy

Brian Purdy has significant experience in the tax and finance industry. Brian is currently serving as the Vice President - Tax and Treasury at South32 since September 2022. Prior to this role, they worked at South32 Limited from May 2015 to September 2022, where they held the position of Head of Tax. Brian also worked at BHP Billiton Iron Ore from September 2004 to April 2015, where they held senior management and vice president positions in finance and group tax. Before that, they worked as a Tax Principal at Ernst & Young from April 2000 to August 2004, and as a Regional Tax Manager at Baker Hughes from December 1996 to March 2000.

Brian Purdy has a Master's degree in Accounting from The University of Western Australia. Brian also holds a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) from the same institution.
