Donald Masemola

Donald Masemola currently serves as Superintendent of Ventilation and Safety at South32 since October 2024. Prior to this, a long tenure at Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd from July 2003 to October 2024 included roles as Quality Systems Manager and Risk & Quality Assurance Manager. Responsibilities encompassed managing the Power Station Quality Management System, overseeing the station's Risk Management Programme, and leading the Risk and Quality Assurance Department. Donald Masemola conducted various audits, developed dashboards for process monitoring, and provided management with risk and quality assurance guidance. Educational qualifications include an MSc in Safety and Risk Management from Heriot-Watt University, a Certificate in Computer Programming from the University of Michigan, and a B-Tech in Environmental Health Sciences from the Central University of Technology, Free State. Currently pursuing a PhD focused on Coal Dust Cloud Explosions.
