Holly Buschman has extensive experience in sustainability and environmental management. Holly is currently working as the Vice President of Sustainability Strategy & Community at South32 since October 2021. Prior to that, they held various roles at BHP, including Head of Climate Resilience and Principal Sustainability. At BHP, they led initiatives related to climate change, natural climate solutions, and sustainability risk management. Before joining BHP, Holly worked as a Senior Environmental Consultant at MWH, where they were responsible for environmental management and compliance on infrastructure projects. Holly also worked as a Project Supervisor at Coffey International Ltd, overseeing environmental services for a petrochemical corporation. Earlier in their career, Holly worked as a Project Engineer at CB&I and as a Health, Safety, and Environmental Engineer at Valspar and GE.
Holly Buschman graduated from Purdue University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. In 1998, they obtained the Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification from the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (USA).
