Mike Sevier

Mike Sevier is an experienced Lead Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer at South32, where responsibilities include leading a team within the Capital Projects and Studies division. With a background in electrical engineering spanning over three decades, Mike previously held multiple positions at BHP Billiton Worsley Alumina Pty Ltd, including Electrical Engineering Statutory Officer and Electrical Instrument Coordinator. Early career experiences include roles as an Electrical Instrument Technician and Electrical Fitter at Worsley Alumina Pty Ltd and the State Energy Commission WA, respectively, as well as service as an Infantry Section Commander Corporal in the Australian Army Reserves. Mike holds numerous certifications and degrees related to hazardous areas, electrical systems, gas appliances, radiation safety, and industrial electrotechnology from various educational institutions.
