Rene Strydom

Rene Strydom is an experienced finance professional, currently serving as Practice Lead ERP at South32 since April 2024. Prior to this role, Rene was the GCoA Functional Lead - EMEA at Anglo American from September 2023 to March 2024. With significant expertise in portfolio control and business assurance developed during tenure as Head at Standard Chartered Bank from July 2016 to June 2023, Rene also held positions including Senior Finance Manager in both Global Design and Process Design, where responsibilities included managing complex projects and enhancing finance processes. Prior experience includes working as a Senior Finance Consultant at Bridgestone and various senior roles at BHP Billiton, focusing on global process governance and finance data management. Rene holds a Specialised Bachelor's Degree in Accounting Honors from the University of Pretoria.
