Sara Braund

Sara Braund has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Sara started their career at Logica UK in 1989, where they held various roles ranging from programmer to project manager. During their time at Logica UK, they developed and delivered systems for offshore personnel tracking, materials management, and hydrocarbon accounting. In 1994, they joined SAIC as a Team Lead before moving on to Oracle as a Senior Consultant in 1995. Sara then worked at Logica Australia Pty Ltd as a Business Manager from 2002 to 2007.

From 2007 to 2018, Sara worked at Woodside Energy, where they held multiple leadership positions such as IT Solutions Delivery Manager and IT/IM Manager for the Browse Project. Sara also served as the VP CIO and VP WHQ Technology.

Currently, Sara Braund is working at South32 as the VP Digital Operations, a position they have held since 2018. In 2020, they also took on the role of VP Digital Technology.

Sara Braund completed an Advanced Diploma of Management at the Australian Institute of Management in 2011. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Aberdeen, from 1985 to 1989.
