Chris Edwards

Chris Edwards serves as the Project Director for Life Sciences, Health, and Clinical Research at Southbase Construction since May 2023, bringing extensive experience in project management across various sectors. Previously, Chris held senior project management roles at Unispace and Form Building & Developments Ltd, as well as directing projects at Decmil Construction in New Zealand and China. Notable achievements include leading the rapid deployment project for the Department of Corrections NZ, valued at $196 million. With a solid educational background in Lean Construction and Carpentry and Joinery, Chris has managed significant projects, including high-profile facilities such as the University of Auckland and numerous healthcare and correctional facilities. Chris's leadership is characterized by a commitment to quality, safety, and the adoption of innovative technologies in construction.
