Jennifer Dalton

Jennifer Dalton began their work experience as an Underwriting Assistant at Alaskan General Insurance Agency in 1999. Jennifer reviewed commercial insurance applications, determined acceptability, rated insurance coverage risks, and provided premium quotations to clients.

In 2002, they joined the State of Alaska, Division of Insurance as a Licensing Examiner. Jennifer'sresponsibilities included reviewing and processing new and renewal applications for insurance producer licenses, interpreting Alaska statutes related to insurance licensing, and explaining legislative changes to producers.

In 2007, Jennifer worked as a Marketing Liaison at Premera Blue Cross. Jennifer collaborated with Retirement & Personnel contacts, researched claim issues, and resolved member issues by providing educational feedback to customer service representatives.

From 2009 to 2013, they served as a Customer Service Liaison at HealthSmart Benefit Solutions. Jennifer managed the Juneau office, trained new staff members, and handled phone and email communication with benefit employees, policyholders, healthcare providers, and other insurance companies. Jennifer also researched claim issues, coordinated benefits, and ensured compliance with federal insurance regulations.

Jennifer joined the State of Alaska in 2013 as a Retirement & Benefits Specialist II. Jennifer'srole involved ensuring accurate employee health insurance coverage reporting, reviewing premium collection and claim issues, assisting with claim appeals, and providing benefit education. Jennifer also served as the health plan wellness coordinator.

Most recently, in 2017, they joined the SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) as a Human Resources Generalist. Jennifer has held the positions of Human Resources Generalist and Sr. Human Resources Generalist.
