Anthony Spurgetis - Mps

Anthony Spurgetis holds a Master of Professional Studies in Human Resources and Employment Relations from Penn State University, and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Iowa. Anthony has extensive experience in human resources leadership, currently serving as Chief Operations Officer/HR for Southeast Polk Community School District since January 2025. Previous roles include Chief Human Resources Officer for Waterloo Community School District, Director of Human Resources for both Johnston and Marshalltown Community School Districts, and various human resources positions at Des Moines Public Schools and Cedar Rapids Community School District. Anthony's career began in workforce development and customer service with ACT and City Carton Recycling. Additionally, Anthony holds certifications as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR), SHRM-Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), and Professional Human Capital Leader in Education (pHCLE).
