Erin Sears is an experienced educator with a diverse background in various teaching roles spanning over two decades. Currently serving as a 3rd Grade Teacher at Southeast Polk Community School District since August 2015, Erin emphasizes best practices for English Language Learners while instructing 27 students. Previous experience includes participation on the Educator Steering Committee for National Geographic, teaching 2nd Grade at Morris Jeff Community School, and directing a Writer's Workshop at French American International School. Additional roles encompass teaching and administration in various settings, including the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth, Community Transitional School, and Juneau Adult Education. Erin holds a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Alaska Southeast and a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from the University of Iowa.
