Matthew Parker

Matthew Parker is an experienced educator with a career spanning over two decades in social studies instruction. Currently serving as a High School Social Studies Teacher at Southeast Polk Community School District since August 2003, Matthew teaches Advanced Placement Psychology and Economics, along with a range of other social studies courses. In addition, Matthew has contributed to the educational field as an AP Exam Reader for Educational Testing Services / College Board since June 2016, scoring responses for the AP Psychology Exam. Prior experience includes roles as a High School Social Studies Teacher at Southeast Webster Grand Community School District and as an Assistant College Men's Volleyball Coach at Grand View University, where Matthew assisted in the team's inaugural and second seasons. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education and Teaching from the University of Northern Iowa.
