Mike Christiansen

Mike Christiansen has over 30 years of work experience in the field of information technology. Mike currently holds the position of Senior Director, IT Services & Operations at Southeastern Grocers, where they lead a team of 80+ professionals and is responsible for various IT operations and services. Mike has a proven track record of resolving issues, improving performance, and achieving cost savings through strategic restructuring and implementing key initiatives. Prior to their current role, they served as the Director of Computer & Info Systems at Southeastern Grocers.

Before joining Southeastern Grocers, Mike worked at Florida Blue as an Information Technology Program Manager, managing infrastructure technology components for various GuideWell companies. Mike also has experience working at Ascension Technologies, where they held various senior director roles and managed remote hosting, data center operations, and infrastructure technology. Mike has a strong background in negotiating and managing budgets, implementing technology strategies, and delivering infrastructure support.

In addition to their corporate experience, Mike has also worked at Independent Life & Accident of Jacksonville as a Local Area Network Administrator and at Florida State College at Jacksonville in roles such as Adjunct Instructor, Network Systems Specialist, and Campus Computer Coordinator. Mike started their career at Cavalier Products, Inc - CAD Systems Division/Lockwood Computers as a Service Manager, providing support for PC-based hardware and software products.

Throughout their career, Mike has consistently demonstrated leadership, innovation, and a commitment to enhancing customer satisfaction and productivity.

Mike Christiansen completed their education at the Washington-Holmes Area Vocational Technical Center from 1979 to 1981, earning a Technical Degree in Computer Programming. Mike later attended the Harvard Business School from 2016 to 2017, specializing in AIS Harvard Leadership Direct. In addition, Mike obtained certifications as a Certified Novell Engineer in NetWare 5.x from Novell in 2004 and in NetWare 4.x in 1996.
