Zuhey Medina-Gonzalez has a strong background in genetics, reproduction, and puppy care. Zuhey started working at Southeastern Guide Dogs Inc in September 2012 as a Genetics and Reproduction Technician. From there, they were promoted to Genetics and Reproduction Manager in October 2014, and then to Genetics and Reproduction Director in April 2016. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Genetics, Reproduction, and Puppy Care. Before joining Southeastern Guide Dogs Inc, Zuhey worked as a Senior Petcare Specialist at Nestlé Purina North America from February 2008 to September 2012.
Zuhey Medina-Gonzalez completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S) degree in Animal Science at New Mexico State University from 2002 to 2007. Currently, they are pursuing a degree in Public Health at the University of Florida from 2022 to 2024. Additionally, Zuhey holds certifications as an Assesor from Assistance Dogs International and as a Member of the Development Committee from the International Guide Dog Federation.
