Richard Turner has a diverse work experience spanning over 25 years. Richard began their career in the United States Air Force as a Vehicle Operator and Dispatcher in 1995 and rose through the ranks to become a Logistics Readiness Squadron Superintendent and Process Improvement Coordinator. After leaving the Air Force in 2015, they joined OmniSource Corporation as a Transportation Manager, Southeast Division. In 2017, they joined Grainger as a DC Distribution Supervisor before moving on to Southeastern Paperboard, Inc. in 2018. At Southeastern Paperboard, Inc., they held the position of Fleet Operations Manager and is currently serving as the Vice President of Operations.

Richard Turner holds a Master's degree in Transportation and Logistics Management from American Military University, which they earned from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice/Forensics from the same university, completing it from 2009 to 2013. In addition, Richard completed various military-related courses and programs, including the SNCO Logistics Readiness Course, Community College of the Air Force's Professional Managers Certification in Organizational Leadership, SNCO Course 14 in Military Organizational Leadership, Senior Enlisted Joint Professional Military Education (SEJPME) in Military Joint Operations Planning and Strategy, and the Noncommissioned Officer's Academy in Educational Leadership and Administration, General. Moreover, they hold an Associate's degree in Business Administration/Transportation Management from Community College of the Air Force, completed in 2008, and has also completed the Airman Leadership School (ALS) in Educational Leadership and Administration, General in 2001.
