David Cousins

David Cousins is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as the New Fleet Engineering Integration Manager at Southeastern Railway since August 2025, where responsibilities include leading new train fleet integrations and aligning maintenance operations. Previously, as the TLS Engineering Manager for the Millennium Fleet at Downer EDI Ltd, David managed all technical aspects of the fleet, ensuring safety and reliability. David's history at Hitachi Rail includes roles as Fleet Engineering Manager for the Class 395 and Engineering Standards & Training Manager, overseeing maintenance documentation and training globally. With additional experience at Steer Davies Gleave and Halcrow in consultancy roles, coupled with a solid educational background in Mechanical Engineering, David holds an MSc from Kingston University and a BEng (Hons) from the University of the West of England.
