Hemang started their career as a Financial Advisor-Intern at UBS, gaining exposure to various departments and learning about the industry. Following this, they worked as a Sr. Loan Officer at 1st Atlas Mortgage & Investment Corp, where they excelled in loan origination and processing. Hemang then joined United Central Bank as an Assistant Vice President/Business Development Officer, focusing on commercial and business banking and developing relationships with high net worth clients. After that, they worked at Wells Fargo as an Assistant Vice President/Business Sales Officer, helping clients achieve their financial goals through business and real estate financing. Hemang then moved to Wallis State Bank as a Vice President in Commercial/SBA Lending, where they originated and underwrote various types of loans. Currently, they are the Senior Vice President of Commercial Lending at Southern Bank and Trust Company, contributing their expertise in this area. Hemang Oza has an extensive educational background, spanning from elementary school to postgraduate studies. In 1962, they attended Welham's Preparatory School, where they completed classes from KG to 3rd grade. Hemang then enrolled in St. Xavier's High School from 1971 to 1975, where they received their SSC degree with a focus on Biology/Biological Sciences. Continuing their education, Hemang Oza attended St. Xavier's College from 1975 to 1978, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mathematics. After that, they pursued a degree in Chemical Engineering and attended the Faculty of Technology & Engineering at M.S. University of Baroda from 1978 to 1983, earning a B.Eng. degree in Chemical Engineering. In 2000, Hemang Oza pursued further education in the field of Finance, completing their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at Regent University from 2000 to 2002. Lastly, in 2010, they attended AAHOA Institute of Management CHO for a short period, focusing on Hotel Owners' education.
