Flavio da Cruz

Flavio da Cruz, Ph.D., serves as a Technology Development Project Manager III at SoCalGas since April 2018, overseeing Low-Carbon Resources program initiatives, including project ideation, team assembly, and funding strategy, while facilitating connections with R&D entities in clean energy. Prior experience includes roles as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at SoCalGas, where Flavio managed engineering activities for natural gas projects, 2022 Fellow at the Clean Energy Leadership Institute, and a Doctoral Researcher and Teaching Fellow at UCLA, focusing on optimizing thermal systems through advanced modeling and simulations.
