Beth Fisher has extensive experience in alumni relations and special events, currently serving as the Director of Alumni & Special Events at Southern College of Optometry since December 2006, where responsibilities include planning advancement programs and successfully closing a $4 million capital campaign ahead of schedule. Previous roles at Southern College of Optometry include Director of Alumni Engagement, Special Events Planner, and Alumni Relations Associate, focused on executing events like Homecoming and designing reunion giving programs. Prior to this, Beth worked at the American Cancer Society as a Development Representative and Health Initiatives Representative, where volunteer management and community relationships were key components. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree and a Master's of Science degree in Textile Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
