Karen C. Dias, MBA, PMP has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Karen C. began their career as an IT Project Manager at Viacom/MTV Networks, where they successfully managed the software development lifecycle of applications supporting MTV's Advertising Sales portfolio. Karen C. implemented multiple large and mid-scale business systems, delivering cost savings through viable alternatives to scope change.

After their time at Viacom/MTV Networks, Dias joined The Housing Authority of the City of Atlanta, GA, where they held various roles, including Director of Content & Records Management and Director of Support Services. In these positions, they established and managed the agency's records and content management program, implemented paperless initiatives, and controlled service delivery for the Support Services functional area.

Dias then worked at AGL Resources as a Project Manager, focusing on the development and implementation of IT projects. Karen C. managed the complete software development lifecycle for SCG's enterprise-wide CIS application and oversaw the deployment plan for the CMA Deregulation project.

Currently, Dias is employed at Southern Company Gas as the Director of GIS & Asset Data. In this role, they are responsible for providing project management services for a portfolio of projects related to GIS and Asset Data, as well as Integrity Management. Karen C. manages financial tracking, forecasting, and budget analysis, maps daily business processes to identify areas for improvement, implements streamlined processes, and develops and manages vendor relationships.

Throughout their career, Dias has demonstrated strong project management skills, expertise in system implementation, and the ability to oversee complex initiatives. Their educational background includes an MBA and a PMP certification.

Karen C. Dias, MBA, PMP has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Project Management from Brenau University. Karen C. is currently a Doctoral Candidate pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration in Project Management from Walden University. Karen also holds a Bachelor's degree in Business, Management & Economics, with a focus on International Business, from the State University of New York. Additionally, they have obtained the Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute - Atlanta in July 2013. Karen further enhanced their education by completing a certificate program in Disruptive Strategy from Harvard Business School Online in 2023.
