Robert E. Hayes

Bob Hayes is chief operating officer, Sequent Energy Management. Prior to his appointment, Bob was senior vice president of Trading. He has more than 25 years of experience in the natural gas industry. This role includes continuing responsibility for overseeing all of Sequent’s trading and operations activities.

Prior to joining Sequent, Bob worked five years for Calpine Corporation as vice president of Natural Gas Trading. In this role, he was responsible for the physical gas purchasing, balancing and operations for Calpine’s North American fleet of 87 natural gas-fired (26,000 MW) power plants. He previously worked for Summit Energy Services Inc. (formerly Kimball Resources, Inc.), where he was vice president of the Producer Services business and led industrial markets business development. Prior to that, he served as vice president of Gas Origination for El Paso Merchant Energy Services.
