Jared Franks

Jared Franks, CPA, CFE, is an experienced accounting professional currently serving as the Accounting Policy and Research Manager at Southern Company since July 2023. Prior to this role, Jared held positions as the Accounting Research Manager at Southern Power from April 2022 to July 2023 and as the Accounting Research & Internal Controls Manager and Accounting Research Manager at Alabama Power Company from June 2011 to April 2022. Earlier in the career, Jared was the Assistant Vice President, Senior Auditor at Regions Financial Corporation from February 2008 to June 2011 and began as a Staff Auditor at Ernst & Young from September 2005 to January 2008. Jared holds a Master of Accountancy in Accounting from The University of Alabama and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
