Rufus Kay

Rufus Kay, P.E., CPD has extensive experience in the engineering industry. Rufus started their career in 1990 as a Mechanical Engineer at Williams-Russell and Johnson, Inc. In 2000, they joined Southern Company as a Senior Staff Designer, specializing in engineering and construction services. Later, they moved on to Georgia Power Company as a Project Manager from 2009 to 2010. Returning to Southern Company, Rufus Kay took on various roles, including Sr. Mechanical Engineer and Mechanical Team Leader, where they led projects and managed performance and goal-setting for employees within the mechanical department. Currently, they are serving as a Principal Engineer at Southern Company.

Rufus Kay, P.E., CPD earned their Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSMET) from Southern Polytechnic State University. Rufus pursued their studies at the university from 1987 to 1990.
