Melanie Uribe

Melanie Uribe is an accomplished academic and creative professional, currently serving as the Director of Latin American and Caribbean Studies at Southern Connecticut State University since August 2020, where the focus is on fostering interdisciplinary understanding and cultural engagement. In addition, Melanie holds the position of Assistant Professor of Art & Design, teaching various design courses that emphasize practical skills and creative problem-solving. As the Creative Director at Maccabi Art/Triangle Entertainment, responsibility includes overseeing brand development and package design. Previous roles include Adjunct Professor at Florida Atlantic University and graphic design positions at Diario El Universal, Mercadeo que Vende, Sulyn Industries, and The Beachcomber Newspaper. Melanie is pursuing a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration at Southern Connecticut State University, with a Master’s in Fine Arts in Graphic Design and a background in web design from previous academic experiences.
