Dr Jess Oliver

Dr Jess Oliver has a diverse and extensive work experience. Most recently, they served as the Director of Business Intelligence and Quality at Southern Cross University. Prior to this, they held positions such as Senior Manager of Compliance at Southern Cross University and Principal and Executive Dean at the Australian Institute of Higher Education. Dr Oliver also worked at the Australian Institute of Higher Education as an Assistant Dean, Program Director of Accounting and Business, and Lecturer of Marketing. Additionally, they were a researcher, PHD student, and Teaching Academic in Public Relations and Marketing at the University of Wollongong. Dr Oliver co-founded Pioneer Road Pty Ltd., a social networking app for transient communities, and also worked as a Research and Brand Consultant at Pointy Solutions and as a Marketing Coordinator at Relativity Films.

Dr Jess Oliver has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Marketing and Media and Cultural Studies from the University of Wollongong, which they obtained from 2006 to 2009. Dr Jess then pursued a Master's Degree in Marketing by Research from the same university, graduating from 2010 to 2011. Dr Oliver furthered their education at the University of Wollongong by completing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Place Brand Management, which they received from 2012 to 2016.
