Paula Nielsen

Paula Nielsen, CFA, currently serves as the President and Board Member of CFA Society Mississippi since June 2017, and has held the position of Investments Director and Portfolio Manager at Southern Farm Bureau Casualty Insurance Company since June 2018. Prior to these roles, Paula Nielsen was the Chief Investment Officer at the Mississippi Office of the State Treasurer from June 2017 to May 2018, and served as Senior Portfolio Manager at the Public Employees' Retirement System of Mississippi from June 2013 to May 2017. Earlier in the career, Paula Nielsen worked as a Credit Analyst at Trustmark Bank from June 2012 to May 2013. Educationally, Paula Nielsen earned a Chartered Financial Analyst designation from the CFA Institute between 2014 and 2016, a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Mississippi College from 2012 to 2014, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Finance Concentration from Mississippi College from 2010 to 2012.
