Martin Craven

Martin Craven has over 20 years of work experience in the housing sector. Martin is currently the Director of Asset Compliance at Southern Housing starting in 2022. Prior to this, they held similar positions at Optivo and Notting Hill Genesis. Martin also has experience as an Interim Contract Director and Head of Asset Management at Pinnacle PSG. Martin has expertise in strategic asset management and specialist services, as well as compliance management. Martin's earlier roles include Group Compliance Manager at Devon and Cornwall Housing Group and Technical Compliance Manager at Penwith Housing Association.

Martin Craven has a diverse education history. Martin first attended St Ives Comprehensive from 1984 to 1989. Afterward, they studied at Penwith Sixth Form College from 1989 to 1991, where they completed their A-Levels in Maths, Physics, and Biology. In 1994, they enrolled at the University of Plymouth, earning a Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Systems Engineering which they completed in 1997. Martin then pursued a Master's degree in Innovation Management at Aston University, which they obtained in 1999. Continuing their education, Martin studied Occupational Health and Safety at Cornwall College, completing the NEBOSH National General Certificate in 2007 and the NEBOSH Diploma in 2008.
