Sergey Sayapin is a Professor of Law at KIMEP University since 2023 and has been serving as an Arbitrator for the Caspian Arbitration Society since July 2021. Previously, Sergey held several roles at KIMEP University, including Associate Dean and Associate Professor of Law from 2014 to 2022, where a wide array of law courses were taught, such as Criminal Law, Criminology, and International Human Rights Law. From 2008 to 2014, Sergey worked as a Legal Advisor at the ICRC Regional Delegation in Central Asia, contributing to significant legal drafts and organizing key academic events in international humanitarian law. With a robust educational background, including a doctorate in International Criminal Law from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Sergey has dedicated significant efforts to the development of legal education and international law standards in Central Asia.
