Mohtashim Shamsi

Mohtashim Shamsi is an experienced academic serving as an Associate Professor at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, following a progression from Assistant Professor at the same institution. Previous positions include Postdoctoral Fellow and PhD Student at the University of Toronto, as well as roles as a Sessional Lecturer at Ryerson University and Graduate Teaching Assistant at both the University of Toronto at Scarborough and the University of Western Ontario. Mohtashim Shamsi holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrochemical DNA Biosensing from the University of Toronto, completed in 2012, and engaged in graduate studies in Chemistry at Western University from 2008 to 2011.
