Giovanna Favela

Giovanna Favela, NCMA, currently serves as Lead Medical Assistant at the Southern Indian Health Council since October 2025. Prior experience includes roles such as Medical Assistant Training Instructor at COPE Health Solutions and Travel Medical Assistant with AMN Healthcare. Giovanna also contributed to the Oregon Health & Science University's COVID Response Team as a Medical Assistant and worked as a Medical Coordinator at Southwest Key Programs. Additional experience includes a Certified Medical Assistant position with the California Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation and various roles in healthcare and recreation at Family Health Centers of San Diego, Rady Children's Physician Management Services, Job Corps, and Mission Valley YMCA. Giovanna holds a diploma in Medical/Clinical Assistance from Kaplan College and a high school diploma from Vincent Memorial Catholic High School.
