Phillip Adams

Phillip Adams is an experienced professional in the energy sector, currently serving as Manager of Acquisitions at Southern Power since February 2015. Prior roles at Southern Power include Development Services Manager and Business Development Manager for Asset Acquisitions. Previously, Phillip worked at Southern Company from October 2010 to February 2015 as a Southern Power Acquisitions and New Markets Engineer, focusing on due diligence for new acquisitions, and as an SPC Asset Manager, overseeing a portfolio of Power Purchase Agreements. Phillip's early career includes a position as Project Manager at El Paso from May 2007 to October 2010, where maintenance capital construction projects were managed, as well as a Maintenance Mechanical Coop role at Georgia Pacific from 2004 to 2006. Educationally, Phillip holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Alabama.
