Carita Venable

Carita Venable is a seasoned education professional with extensive experience in leadership and instructional roles. Currently serving as a Senior Leadership Coach at the Southern Regional Education Board since July 2018, Carita previously held various positions at the Jefferson County Board of Education from August 2007 to June 2018, including Principal, Assistant Principal, Supervisor, and Secondary Instructional Coach. Earlier career experience includes working as an Educator at Birmingham City Schools from August 2004 to May 2007. Carita earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from the University of Montevallo and holds two Master of Education degrees, one in Educational Administration and Supervision from Samford University and another in English Language Arts and Reading from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
