Rebecca Boohaker is an accomplished biomedical scientist with extensive experience in oncology research. Currently serving as Director of Oncology at Southern Research since March 2013, Rebecca has a strong background in the structure and function of BCL-2 family proteins. Prior roles include postdoctoral researcher at the University of Central Florida and graduate student at the same institution, where a Doctor of Philosophy in Biomedical Sciences was obtained. The academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, complemented by a research assistant position at the same university from 1998 to 2006.
