Derrick Yu has a strong background in finance and investment banking. Derrick started their career as a Summer Intern in auditing at Ernst & Young in 2006, followed by a Summer Internship in customer experience management at Standard Chartered Bank in 2007. Derrick then worked as a Summer Analyst in Global Banking and Markets at HSBC in 2008. In 2009, they became a Corporate Actions Analyst at BNY Mellon before joining HSBC as an Analyst in Portfolio Management, Global Banking and Markets in 2010. Derrick then moved on to become an Investment Banking Analyst in Leveraged & Acquisition Finance at HSBC from 2012 to 2014. Derrick's work experience also includes working as an Investment Banking Associate in Leveraged & Acquisition Finance at HSBC from 2014 to 2016. Lastly, they worked as a Senior Associate in Mezzanine at Southfield Capital from 2016 to 2020, before being promoted to Vice President in the same company.
Derrick Yu attended Carnegie Mellon University from 2005 to 2008, where they obtained a Bachelors degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance. Prior to that, they attended Kent School for their high school education, but specific dates are not provided.
