Shannon Brett

Shannon Brett has extensive work experience in various healthcare organizations. Shannon started their career at Royal Victoria Hospital, where they worked as a Coordinator for Admissions/Registration, responsible for ensuring data quality and integrity. Shannon later became a Project Coordinator and then a Project Manager at the same hospital.

In 2009, Shannon joined the North Simcoe Muskoka Local Health Integration Network, where they held multiple roles. As a Project Manager, they led the implementation of a Project Management Office and managed local and provincial eHealth initiatives. Shannon then became a Senior Advisor, focusing on quality improvement and system transformation, providing coaching and managing complex system initiatives.

In 2012, Shannon briefly worked as a Quality Improvement Coach at Health Quality Ontario before transitioning to the role of Manager of Quality Improvement and Spread. In this role, they led multiple concurrent projects to accelerate the uptake of continuous quality improvement across the province.

Most recently, Shannon has been working at Southlake Regional Health Centre as a Senior Project Manager in Strategy Management, a Manager in Delivery, and currently holds the position of Director for Strategy and Organizational Development.

Shannon Brett earned a BSc in Biological Science/Nutrition/Chemistry from the University of Guelph from 1984 to 1988. In addition, Shannon obtained certifications including IAP2 Certificate Program in Public Participation from the International Association for Public Participation in 2011, Certified Six Sigma Green Belt (CSSGB) from Six Sigma Canada Inc. in 2010, Project Management Professional (PMP) from Project Management Institute (PMI) in 2009, and Teaching and Training Adults Certification from Georgian College in 2004.
