Joe Janke, P.E. began their work experience in 2012 as an intern at The Douglas Company, where they completed various tasks such as dealing with subcontractors, scheduling, submittals, estimating, job close-out documentation, and the bidding process. In 2014, they joined Southland Holdings LLC as a Project Engineer, where they are currently employed.
Joe Janke, P.E. obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Civil Engineering from Ohio Northern University, where they studied from 2009 to 2013. Prior to that, they attended St. Francis de Sales School in Toledo, OH from 2005 to 2009. Joe Janke, P.E. holds a Professional Engineer (PE) certification obtained from the Ohio State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Surveyors in June 2021. Joe also has various additional certifications, including a 10-Hour OSHA Course in Construction Safety and Health from Occupational Safety and Health Training obtained in July 2015, GP-0-15-002 Erosion & Sediment Control certification from the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation obtained in July 2018, ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade I certification from the American Concrete Institute obtained in December 2015, NRMCA Ready Mixed Concrete Plant Manager certification from the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association obtained in December 2015, NSC First Aid Course - Standard First Aid certification from the National Safety Council obtained in February 2016, GP-0-15-002 Erosion & Sediment Control certification from the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation obtained in July 2015, NSC CPR Course - Adult CPR & AED certification from the National Safety Council obtained in February 2016, and Engineer In Training certification from NCEES.
