As Southland’s Chief Human Resources Officer, Ms. Starr oversees the overall strategy, design, and implementation of Southland’s human resources plans, processes, and practices. She has extensive knowledge in business and human resources management, including developing competitive total rewards structures, talent management solutions, and executive coaching to support leaders and employees through change. In collaboration with the company’s executive leadership team, Ms. Starr is responsible for supporting the execution of Southland’s strategic goals across all business lines.
Ms. Starr’s background includes leading business and human resources efforts in a variety of industries and business models, as well as developing effective processes for the human resources function to meet goals, and planning organizational capabilities for projects and various business structures.
Ms. Starr received a bachelor’s degree in biology from the College of Saint Rose and a master’s degree in industrial labor relations from Cornell University. She is currently an active member of the Human Resources Policy Association.
