Jim Dempsey

Jim Dempsey is a seasoned professional in development and fundraising, currently serving as the Director of Development at SouthLight Healthcare since August 2022. Previous positions include Development Director at Feeding Louisiana and New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity, along with hosting CreativeMornings/New Orleans. Jim has also held roles such as Development Consultant and Director at Main Street Child Development Center, Associate Executive Director and Director of Development at Community Lodgings, and Operations and Development Officer at the Armed Forces Foundation. Jim’s career began with a summer associate position at Cherokee Investment Partners in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Jim holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Hampden-Sydney College.
