Kent Landry

Kent Landry has a strong background in pastoral leadership. Kent served as the Senior Pastor/Head of Staff at Southminster Presbyterian Church from March 2009 to the present. In this role, they oversaw a large church with over 250 members and a school organization of 200+ students. Kent excelled in counseling, preaching, personnel management, and leading change. Additionally, they actively participated in various committees within the church and presbytery.

Prior to their role at Southminster Presbyterian Church, Kent Landry served as the Pastor at Leland Presbyterian Church from June 2004 to March 2009. During this time, they functioned as the sole pastor of a small rural church and was responsible for all pastoral duties. Kent stayed well-informed by participating in meetings with the governing bodies of multiple churches.

Kent Landry earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Economics from Texas A&M University from the years 1986 to 1988. After that, from 1990 to 1993, they attended South Texas College of Law Houston, where they obtained a Doctor of Law (JD) degree.

Later, they pursued further education at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary, where they earned a Master of Divinity (MDiv) degree spanned from 2001 to 2004.

In terms of certifications, Kent Landry became an Ordained Minister in July 2016 through the Evangelical Covenant Order of Presbyterians. In July 2014, they obtained certification as an Interim/Transitional Minister from the Interim/Transitional Ministry Certification Program, both ECO and PC(USA). Additionally, Kent Landry received certification as a Minister of Word and Sacrament from the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) in June 2004.

Kent Landry also holds inactive status with multiple state bar associations. Kent is currently inactive with the State Bar of Georgia as of 2000, the State Bar of South Carolina as of 1994, and the State Bar of Texas as of 1993.
