Michael Stewart

Michael Stewart is an experienced professional in business intelligence and project management, currently serving as SVP - Director of Business Intelligence / Process Improvement at SouthState Bank since October 2019. Prior roles include SVP, Business Intelligence Operations Leader and VP - Principal/Lead Consultant. As the Owner/Manager of FORGEWELD APPS from March 2016 to October 2019, Michael directed the development of a patented web-based decision-making platform. Earlier experience includes an IT Program Manager position at Samaritan's Purse, where responsibilities encompassed managing global technical teams for custom software applications in humanitarian missions, and serving as Director of the Project Management Office at Appalachian Regional Healthcare System, overseeing a significant PMO budget. Michael also held the role of Project Coordinator at Novant Health, leading a large team across multiple states. Michael holds a Bachelor's Degree in Theology from Columbia International University and a Bachelor's Degree in Near and Middle Eastern Studies from Jerusalem University College.
