Sun-Shine Espinoza

Sun-Shine Espinoza has extensive experience in human resources, starting with their role as a Human Resources Supervisor at USG from 2002 to 2004. They were responsible for hiring, conducting new employee orientation, managing employee relations activities, and conducting investigations into grievances, discipline, and safety matters.

From 2004 to 2005, Espinoza worked as a Human Resources Manager at Educational Products Inc. Their responsibilities included establishing regional HR offices, administering employee benefit programs, and managing the worker's compensation program.

Espinoza then worked as a Contract Recruiter at Davaco Inc. from March 2005 to August 2005. They fulfilled HR requests, sourced and pre-screened candidates, and managed the interview process.

At Tenet Healthcare from August 2005 to June 2007, Espinoza served as an Ethics Advisor. They captured HR, compliance, auditing, and legal issues, counseled employees regarding Standards of Conduct, and analyzed monthly and quarterly data.

From June 2007 to January 2009, Espinoza worked as an Ethics Helpline Manager at Countrywide. They coordinated investigations into HR, ethics, and fraud-related allegations, maintained relationships with third-party vendors, and created comprehensive reports using Microsoft Excel.

At Collin County from September 2009 to June 2011, Espinoza worked as a Human Resources Assistant. They managed employee electronic records, created reports using Microsoft Excel, and provided support to the HR department and county employees.

From June 2011 to July 2013, Espinoza served as a Senior Human Resources Generalist at Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. Their responsibilities included managing the hiring process, conducting employee orientation, managing employee relations activities, and creating employee newsletters.

Espinoza then joined Southwest Airlines Federal Credit Union in February 2014 as a Human Resources Generalist. They later became a Human Resources Manager from May 2016 to January 2017 and then a Director of Human Resources from January 2017 to January 2021. Currently, Espinoza holds the position of Vice President of Human Resources at the same company.

Sun-Shine Espinoza attended Mays Business School at Texas A&M University from 1998 to 2002, where they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Human Resources (HR) Management. In July 2018, they also obtained the SHRM-SCP certification from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
