Jake Zelman

Jake Zelman currently serves as the Senior Manager of Dispatch Operations at Southwest Airlines, a position held since April 2002, where responsibilities include overseeing dispatch policies, auditing employee performance, and ensuring compliance with regulations. In addition to this role, Jake holds positions as Principal at flyUAM, an organization focused on advancing Operational Control in Urban Air Mobility, and as a consultant for NASA Ames Research Center, contributing to research and policy development in the UAM sector. Jake also holds the designation of Designated Aircraft Dispatcher Examiner with the FAA and has been involved in various industry committees and safety initiatives. An accomplished speaker and presenter, Jake has participated in numerous aviation safety conferences and has contributed significantly to the development of operational strategies and safety management systems within aviation. Jake earned a Bachelor of Science degree, graduating summa cum laude from the University of North Texas.
