Managing Director, Corporate Facilities at Southwest Airlines

John has a combined 35 years of experience in building design, construction and maintenance. Over the last 22 years John has held numerous roles at Southwest, all within the Facilities Department including; Computer Aided Drafting Specialist, Project Manager, Special Projects Lead, and Director. John was a recipient of the President's Award in 2003 and Colleen's Heart & Soul Award in 2015. As a Project Manager John was responsible for opening five new cities and as Special Projects Lead he was instrumental in delivering on projects such as the Automated Bag Tag in 2000 , Automated Boarding Pass in 2001, Self Service Kiosk in 2002, Gate Reader rollout in 2003 and Gate Enhancement in 2007. John's Team is currently responsible for managing and delivering projects such as the Love Field Modernization Program, Headquarter Campus Master Plan, HOU Five Gate International Concourse, FLL Five Gate International Concourse, and the LAX Terminal 1Modernization.
