Catalina Gracia

Secretary at SOUTHWEST KEY PROGRAMS INC

Catalina Liliana Gracia currently practices federal immigration law and state and federal criminal defense in Los Angeles, California. She is the lead litigator at her practice and leads a team of attorneys and paralegals. Additionally, to expand her knowledge and understanding of global immigration jurisprudence in 2012 Ms. Gracia participated in an International Law program at the University of London.

Ms. Gracia is primarily dedicated to protecting the rights of immigrants and has spent the last five years in immigration courts throughout the country litigating complex deportation matters.

Having herself immigrated from Colombia as a child, her commitment to the plight of the immigrant stems from personal experience and has been the driving force behind her career.

In the span of a few short years, she has appeared before the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals for the Central District of California and successfully argued immigration cases. Her success at this level has had the impact of changing the course of action lower courts may take in applying the law.

Most importantly, Ms. Gracia focuses her law practice on securing immigration benefits for undocumented juvenile immigrants. In doing so she has secured numerous juveniles the legal right to remain in the United States, ensuring these children the opportunity to work towards a better life.

Additionally, in an effort to promote awareness of available immigration relief, she has participated in community outreach efforts at the Los Angeles County+USC Medical Center and No Limits for Deaf Children in Culver City by providing pro bono legal information and aid to juvenile immigrants and their families.
