Shanna Marie Baltar

Shanna Marie Baltar is a Geriatrician currently working with Carelon Health as part of the Carelon Touch Program, where responsibilities include primary care for I-SNP patients in various assisted living and long-term care settings, interdisciplinary collaboration, and management of comprehensive geriatric assessments. Prior to this role, Shanna served as a Geriatrician at Southwest Medical Associates, focusing on the medical management of Medicare Advantage patients in post-acute rehabilitation. Shanna's experience also includes a Geriatric Medicine Fellowship at the UNR School of Medicine and previous positions as a Disability Examiner with AMCE Physicians Group and EFG Pathways. Shanna's early career involved significant clinical training during an Internal Medicine Residency at Palmetto General Hospital and leadership as Vice President of the DOCARE International TUN Chapter. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Touro University Nevada and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Biology from UC Davis.
