Mark Samaan

Mark Samaan has extensive experience in urban planning and GIS, currently serving as the Short Range Planning Manager at Cincinnati Metro since August 2019. Prior to this role, Mark worked as an Associate Planner at Hamilton County Planning + Development and as a Land Use Intern at OKI Regional Council of Governments, focusing on demographic analysis and land use patterns. Earlier experience includes a GIS Intern position at Cincinnati Area GIS, where Mark created numerous maps for various stakeholders, and a Planning Intern role at Cincinnati Department of City Planning, which involved outreach and mapping for land development projects. Mark holds a Master of Community Planning with a focus on Land Use Planning and a GIS Certificate from the University of Cincinnati, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Urban Studies from Tufts University.
